Purple Boots, Silver Stars, and White Parents

This article is a very informative and insightful one. The whole main idea of this article is that it discusses the difficulties and the struggles that parents have when they adopt a child of a different race, in this case a black child with white parents. I believe that there is nothing wrong with adopting a child of a different race because I believe integration is a beautiful, progressive thing and that everyone should get along based off the content of one's character and personality, not skin tone or race. I personally loved this article because it discusses how you can find who you really are even though you might not be with your biological parents. It discusses more on how you can find out about your heritage, culture, etc. as well as who you are as an individual as well and not just be defined by a race, but as a human being.

Please take a look and leave some feedback!

  1. I agree with you I too believe that there is nothing wrong with adopting a child of a different race. This shows that there is still people that don't care about race or culture it shows that they accept anyone anyway they are.

  2. I also agree. People should be more like this. People that take in different races are great examples for those ahead of them

  3. I agree with you on this because people taking in other races shows the unity that should be exercised worldwide, bringing in people as equals

  4. I agree with this as I believe that everybody should have a right to a child and that every child who is not wanted has the right to have parents regardless of their race.
