 Summary:
This week two members of the notorious Kehoe family were arrested on multiple weapons charges in Arizona. The family belongs to a white suprmacy group and were responsible for distributing a large number of weapons to other white supremacists throughout the 1980's and 1990's. They are also accused of stockpiling weapons and threatening to overthrow the government. When authourities searched their property they found a large number of weapons from pistols, to semiautomatic rifles.

Reflection:
Because of the opportunities that exist today it is easy to think of true racism as a thing of the past. Here I was thinking that the stereotypical image of a gun toting racist red neck was a thing of the past. I do however applaud our federal government for not letting criminals like this slip under the radar even after three decades. It was only a matter of time before those men used those weapons for their "cause." When you think about it it is pretty scary that their are still people out their ready to destroy in the name of white supremacy.

Q1: Do you belive that our world is progressing (in terms of racial tolerance) or degressing?
Q2: If you sell a gun to someone who uses it to take a life, and you know what they are doing, and you continue to distribute them weapons should you be held accountable in a court of law and serve a sentence?

  1. I do believe if you sell a gun go a person with bad intent and you know that you should be locked up right along with them. It is like assisted murder.

  2. Agree that people should understand who they are selling firearms to. Selling firearms to an individual to a person whose intention is wrong and leads to a murder, you should be held accountable along with the suspect!
