Homophobia
People think that homophobia in sports is uncommon. People always assume that your not afraid of someone who is gay because you play a sport and your automatically a "man." I think that everyone shouldn't assume that every guy who plays a sport isn't straight and that if they are in a sport they shouldn't be scared if there is a guy who is gay on the team. Homophobia usually occurs most in the locker rooms because straight guys wouldn't feel comfortable while showering or dressing with a gay person in the room. I personally think homophobia is something straight people use to both keep their distance because they deep down don't like gay people and secondly they use homophobia that as an excuse that deep down don't know their sexuality yet.
