11 Ways The American Workplace is Still Sexist

This article mainly talks about how women have always been getting the "short end of the stick" with their workplaces. This article really highlights many of the invisible injustices that women face in the work place that they have to put up with because of this so called "male-privilege" that men have and how powerful men in the corporate business world take advantage of it and hurt women. Because of that, working women suffer from less pay, sexual harassment in some cases, having to take longer to have the ability to move up the corporate ladder, etc. It is more than a well known fact that for decades women have been treated unfairly in their workplaces and clearly they have been suffering which is completely and entirely wrong, if they can do the job right and effectively then their pay should be the same as anyone else's. Take a closer look at this article to see exactly how in some cases sexism is still alive and well in our work places.

  1. After reading this article I compared what the females teachers said to us on Monday to the 11 ways the american workplace is still sexist. As one of the teachers said during the discussion that she does not get paid as much as her males co-workers do even though she does more work. On the list that the article had this was one of the points. This shows that its clear to many women that the workplace is sexist.

  2. After reading this article, it confirms what Mrs. Bradshaw said females in the workplace. Females are getting more work and less pay. This is completely wrong and this issue needs to seriously change.
